BANKRATE RANKED OKC IN THE TOP FIVE FOR BEST PLACES TO LIVE IN AMERICA. In order to identify the best places to live, Bankrate examined the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. through the lens of an essential question: What makes a place livable and lovable? Applying a 10-point scale, BankRate considered several factors, including:
• What it costs? • How it feels? • Who is moving there? • A diversity score, when data is available.
Oklahoma City scored a 38 out 50 points, with most of its high ranking contributing to its low unemployment rate, abundance of sunny days and low cost of living. All of these factors combined helped OKC’s ranking as one of the best cities to live in the country.
