OKCPS school bond election topic of Oct. 19 Chamber Forum; November Forum to focus on EDA grant and future of bioscience in OKC Oklahoma City voters will have an opportunity to hear more about November’s Oklahoma City school bond election during the Chamber Forum scheduled for later this month. A panel comprised of education officials and Oklahoma City business leaders will discuss the impact of the school bond vote proposed by the Oklahoma City Public Schools. The election will take place on Nov. 8 at polling sites all across the OKC Public Schools District. Participating in the panel will be: • Paula Lewis, Board Chair, Oklahoma City Public Schools • Torie Luster Pennington, President, Oklahoma City American Federation of Teachers • Natalie Shirley, Vice Chair, Convention & Visitor Development, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber The Chamber Forum will be held Oct. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vast. NOVEMBER FORUM November’s Chamber Forum will examine the future of OKC’s bioscience sector in light of the $35 million Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant the EDA recently awarded to OKC for its Oklahoma Biotech Innovation Cluster initiative.
