THE K I N G ' S BUS I NE S S Hungry men feast upon the believer’s security when they see the power with which He works in and through those who are surrendered to Him. When we separated, faces were brighter, hearts were lighter, for all had a grander vision of our Lord. He who delivers from the guilt of sin is anxious to deliver from the power of- sin. The Seed Takes Root Here is a word from a friend in an other port after he had visited a Jap anese vessel. “ I got on th e -------while passing the pier where she was docked and found the literature you left. 1 was approached by a man, an engineer, who seemed very much interested, ap parently from reading what you gave him. The Gospel and tracts had made him so hungry he pleaded for a Bible, which I secured for him.” God does not leave us without encouragement. This is just one case, hut there are hundreds who have been reached dur ing the month. “ Paul planted, Apollos watered, hut God gave the increase.” We thank you for prayer. Some day, when in glory with Him, many will call you blessed, because in answer to your prayers they found the Saviour. BIOLA HALL WORK BIOLA HALL, David Cant, Superintend ent. Our City Mission for men, situated in the center of the city. Meetings are held from 10:00 o'clock in the morning until 10:00 o’clock at night, including a Noonday Business Men’s Prayer Meeting and personal work. Hundreds of men are reached here every day. RETROSPECTIVE view of the closing year brings from our heart many notes of praise and thanksgiving to the Giver of every good and perfect gift, the Father of lights, in whom is no variable ness, neither shadow of turning, as we seek to recall the way by which He has led us, crowning the testimony of Biola Hall with so many rich trophies of. His matchless grace. At this special sea son of thanksgiving and praise, as we close the year’s books and wait with trustful hearts for what lies before us, it is certainly refreshing to watch these boys who have been brought to the light, coming back to Biola Hall, bring ing with them some gift to express their gratitude to the human means God has been pleased to use as channels of bles sing, and as their ringing testimonies to His saving and keeping power sound Genesis to the Revelation.

out, we are refreshed and greatly en couraged to make 1922 the very best in usefulness and service for the blessed Master. There has been a great awakening among Jewish young men resulting in many bright and clear con versions at Biola Hall for which we praise God. These young men are giv ing witness by lip and life to Jesus Christ as Lord of all, and thus form a nucleus for continued service. Then, our constant exposure of the false re ligions has also been greatly used of God. Three Seventh-day Adventists in one evening last week renounced that erroneous doctrine, finding peace in the finished work of Christ. We have- found the Roman Catholics very open to the Gospel of free grace, and hungry for the bread of life, which surely calls for another note of praise. Free Feeds Work Our free feeds for the jobless men, and stacks of loaves of bread-free to the hungry, have proven a fine bait, breaking down prejudice, paving the way for heart-to-heart talks and lead ing many of them through man’s .ex tremity to God’s opportunity. We counted in one single week recently thirty-three men with tired and dis couraged hearts, who came out through the careful expounding of the Word by patient, consecrated men who were glad and eager to sit down and, line by line, open blind eyes to the living Word. Then, the number of men who at one time had walked with God, and after falling away, have come back to fellowship with Christ, has been won derful. To see them broken down and crying their way back must have given joy in the presence of the angels. And last are the men who are enter ing the Bible Institute to take the course and devote their lives to His glad service. Oh,, there is so much to praise Him for and we can only exclaim, “What hath God wrought!” as we recall the words of one of old who came to see the wisdom of Solo mon, “ It was a true report that I had heard of thee in mine own land, of thy acts and thy wisdom; but I be lieved not the words until I came a,nd mine eyes had seen, and behold, the half was not told me.” Mi1 lìnmjijìiiiilii1 fi!1 ~ GIFTS to GOD should be SANE, SAFE § ü and SAFE-GUARDED.
