How should a nation act if another, nation makes war with them? On whom did Asa depend when Zerah came against' him? Who wrought the victory? If Japan should build up a greater army and navy than the United States, would our country have sufficient re­ ligious faith to trust God for a victory should war break out between them? Personal Questions Ought every man in the nation to worship the Creator? Ought every man to be forced to at­ tend Divine worship? Shall we agitate the passing of a law to bar out the building of any idolatrous place of worship in the United States? Ought any one to be allowed to set forth or practice sorcery in any form as a religion? Ought we to have more money and time for building homes than battle­ ships? Should we not pray to God for our na­ tion in times of peace as well as in times of war? Ought we not to have Asa’s cour­ age in dealing with evil? Would we not have Asa’s blessing if we took Asa’s stand against evil? A King Who Trusted God. 2 Chron. 14:13-16; Isa. 41:10-13. Ought the federal government of the United States to allow the idola­ trous worship of idols here and the building of Buddhistic temples, etc.? Ought a nation to allow the worship of any God except the Creator of Heaven and Earth? Are national wars a result of the sins of the people and a lack of the worship of the true God? Can a nation avoid war by instituting and enforcing the worship of the true God? What reason did Asa give in verse 7 for having rest and time to improve the cities? Do religious reforms bring prosperity to a nation? Ought every nation to have a stand­ ing army? Ought that army to be a burden to the nation? Were there dope fiends, drunkards, or cigarette fiends in Asa’s army? Ought a nation to be afraid of a near nation that has a larger army than theirs?
