Minor premier trophy for PNG Air netball team The 2024-2025 Private Companies Netball Competition at Rita Flynn Netball Courts on Sunday, March 9, ended on a bittersweet note for our netball ladies. PNG Air did exceptionally well in Division 17 all season to remain undefeated, only to fall back to minor premiers at the grand final. The qualifying game against Moni Plus 2 was a nailbiter but the ladies secured the win 8-4. Then the team faced off against Capital Insurance, and it was a tough match. By fulltime, both teams were tied at six points each. By the end of extra time, both teams were tied 10-all. In the end, Capital Insurance were the better team winning 12-10. Congratulations on the minor premiership trophy, and better luck for 2025-2026. This season there were 141 teams in total that took part: Men’s Div A and B with five teams each; Premier Div: 6 teams (women’s); Div 1-20: 6 teams each; Div 21: 5 teams. The airline has had a long association with the netball competition, originally fielding a team as the former Milne Bay Air in the 1990s, then rejoining the comp for the
