LHA have an extensive freehold base and an appetite and ambition to grow in both bed numbers and social impact. The role will be pivotal in designing and scoping a full review of the portfolio’s strategic viability ahead of the 10-year plan. Experience in project management of complex construction projects to expand our reach and impact will be necessary. Reporting directly to the CEO, the individual will be responsible for overseeing and leading on all aspects of Charity’s portfolio. This includes all aspects of real estate strategy, planning, project management, transactions, environmental, health and safety, lease negotiations and land acquisitions. The person will support all functions in the application and governance of these services. They will align with the charity’s best practices and provide a consistent experience for lines of business. The Director is responsible for directing the full life cycle of the real estate portfolio (strategy, planning, build). The portfolio includes 14 locations within London, totalling roughly 430,000 square feet of hostel accommodation in prime locations. This individual will work pro-actively with the charity’s senior management team to align the portfolio with business and financial requirements. They will be responsible for achieving measurable year-over-year improvements in quality, service, and beneficiaries’ satisfaction.
