WAXIE offers many hand hygiene systems to help contribute to building occupant wellness. Hand washing and sanitizing is one of the most important steps which can be taken to protect health and prevent the spread of illness. WAXIE has a hand hygiene solution to fit any need – everything from sealed dispensing systems which help to ensure that the soap is not contaminated prior to being used, to hand sanitizing systems which help to keep hands clean when there is no access to running water, to the eduction which can assist with facility messaging to building occupants highlighting the importance of good hand hygiene – and each of these solutions can be paired with the appropriate hand drying system from WAXIE. Hand soaps and sanitizers referenced in this section are primarily going to be either UL ECOLOGO, Green Seal certified or EPA Safer Choice certified, but many buildings can achieve their sustainability goals by using a good solid hand soap which does not contain antimicrobial agents. Solutions which contribute to hand hygiene and building occupant wellness can potentially assist a project pursuing LEED ® certification, or a campus pursuing an AASHE STARS ® rating, or an organization pursuing CIMS-GB certification, or a project pursuing WELL certification.
