and mobile homes. I love watching these small spaces be transformed into beauti- ful, multiuse rooms. How do you unwind when you’re feel- ing stressed out? I enjoy a tasty meal, a yummy cocktail, and quality time with my loved ones and friends. Is there an iconic building or space where you’d like to try living? I would love to live in an autonomous home, one that relies on itself for heat- ing, cooling, electricity, and more. Often these homes have large windows for natural light and indoor gardens for clean air and fresh food. I would enjoy living in a space that is sustainable and brings me closer to nature. If you were a color, what color would you be and why? If I were a color I would be green. I try to bring a calming presence to a room. Many of my clients come to me stressed and overwhelmed by their renovations. My goal is to make their experience as simple and fun as possible. ■

Who inspires you? Stylistically I’ve been inspired both by my mother and by my best friend. They each have a natural eye for design and can make a house into a home in no time. Can you describe a favorite design project you’ve worked on? I’ve recently collaborated with another designer on a bathroom for a log cabin. I don’t get the opportunity to collaborate often, so that has been a really fun pro- cess. I’ve enjoyed brainstorming ways to modernize this space while maintaining the cabin’s charm. Is there a TV show or movie with de- sign that you love? What do you love about it? I was captivated by the design in The Queen’s Gambit . I could not get enough of the drapes, wallpaper, patterns, and midcentury modern furniture. It added to the drama of the series. I am also a fan of the Old New York style with a modern twist featured in Only Murders in the Building . Can you share a trend you’ve seen in the world of design that fascinates you? Although they’ve been around for some time, I am still fascinated by tiny homes

How would you describe your personal design style? My personal design style is eclectic. I en- joy bringing in elements that I’ve gathered from my travels, while maintaining a cozy and organic feel. What would you like to do more of? I tend to work on baths and kitchens with neutral colors. It would be fun to do more kids’ bathrooms because of the flexibility to play with color and pattern.

Influenced by the unique candle-like shape of antique apothecary jars, the Damask lighting collection illuminates any space with lasting beautify and style.
