TALL ORDER WHEN IT COMES TO SHOWERS, SIZE DEFINITELY MATTERS
A rchitect Adi Gershoni was work- ing on making the Manhattan dream of more space come true by combining two smaller units, transforming what had once been a foyer, a small bathroom and several closets into a grand bathroom and dressing room for his younger, male client. The challenges? The client is very particular about his showers, and he’s tall. “He was a bachelor, a young guy, a busi- nessman who traveled a lot,” remembers Gershoni. Accustomed to staying in fine hotels, the client wanted his apartment bath to have the same feel. And Gershoni was able to deliver a premium hotel-quality bath while also giving the dressing room a high- end retail feel with steel-framed shelving and directable lighting like that of a showroom.
