PAPILLON EXHIBITIONS
Artists of Monthaven Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center unveiled its new Papillon Gallery with a group show spotlighting the works of our talented teaching artists and staff. These artists are experienced and passionate professionals dedicated to inspiring creativity and fostering artistic growth in students of all ages and skill levels. On the Wings of Blessing Lisa Jennings, one of Tennessee’s most distinctive and original visual artists, showcased her first solo exhibition at the MACC’s Papillon Gallery. Her exhibit featured paintings, journals, sculptures and mixed- media works created over a five-year period. Her works draw heavily on primitivism, symbolism and collage. Dreaming of an Artful Christmas This major group exhibition in the MACC’s Papillon Gallery featured 50 original works of art by 40 talented Tennessee artists. The show emphasized small-scale works, with the intention of making art more accessible to first-time buyers. Paintings, sculptures, photography and more were all available.
