GPA: What would you like readers to know about your role at the GPA and how can they connect with you? Sam: First and foremost, my role is about supporting members, so I encourage all members to contact me with their ideas and how we can support each other globally. GPA membership is all about being part of the community, wherever you may be based. It should also be noted that we have a wide range of UK resources too! If you would like to get involved in initiatives to empower the voice of payrollers worldwide, whether that is getting involved in a webinar, attending an event or writing a piece on an upcoming change, please get in touch! You can catch me on sam@gpa.net , engage with my posts on LinkedIn, or flag me down at the next GPA event!

The course is aimed at people who are either new to payroll and wish to become proficient, or people in payroll roles who want to make sure their knowledge is up to date. Every learner is assigned a dedicated mentor to make sure they have a consistent point of contact, alongside monthly drop- in sessions to go over any subjects that need that little bit more discussion. Businesses looking to enrol multiple team members onto the course benefit from choosing bespoke modules, by a trainer, that address the pain points in their business. At the end of the course, learners obtain a certificate to demonstrate competency and are invited to a session with their mentor on how they can best utilise the skills they have gained and plan their next steps in their payroll career.
