YMIN 3012 Effective Teaching Ct, 3 credit hours

YMIN 3122 Developing Communicators to Youth Ct, 3 credit hours This course is designed to foster the development of Christ-centered educators. The student will be responsible for designing curricula and communicating it to youth in various contexts. Emphasis will be on learning teaching principles, and methods of communication. By observing other youth professionals, students will craft their own personal approach to educating youth. During this course, the student will be encouraged to model the characteristics of godly communicators. YMIN 4011 Financial Management & Stewardship in Youth Ministry Ct, 3 credit hours Students taking this course will become familiar with biblical principles relating to the faithful management and stewardship of both their personal and professional resources. Students will be taught to identify and articulate sound and legal procedures of money management. In order to give the undergraduate experiential skills in managing ministry funds, the student will be responsible for acquiring, budgeting, and reporting actual monies of a local youth-based ministry event. The collegian will also be exhorted to learn and implement personal financial stewardship through weekly mentoring. As the student is presented with both personal and ministerial stewardship responsibilities, the skills they obtain will aid them in leading others in practices of financial faithfulness. YMIN 4033 Strategic Youth Ministry Programming Ct, 3 credit hours This course is designed to give undergraduates the knowledge and experience to effectively reach youth for Christ through actual event planning, presentation, and follow-up. Students will gain the confidence to incorporate course knowledge and skills into their youth program, thus fulfilling their role in the Great Commission.

This course prepares future ministry leaders to effectively teach students of all ages using diverse methods and tools. Students will identify and describe at least twenty distinct teaching methods and analyze their suitability for various audiences and learning objectives. Through in- class demonstrations, students will apply these methods, evaluate their effectiveness, and refine their teaching skills. A key focus of the course is creating and utilizing both projected and non-projected visual aids to enhance learning experiences. By the end of the semester, students will be equipped to design and implement engaging, age- appropriate lessons, fostering meaningful learning and spiritual growth in ministry settings.

YMIN 3022 Leading Youth Toward Maturity Ct, 3 credit hours

This course is designed to challenge the student’s view of discipling adolescents. The undergraduate will be responsible for implementing their core values and philosophy of discipleship in an actual youth-based ministry. By exploring a diversity of means, the learners will gain the ability to guide youth from disinterested adolescent to maturing disciple of Christ. This course seeks to advance the growth of the student in leading youth, highlighted through the mentoring experience. The overall objective is to encourage undergraduates to model Christian maturity and integrity to youth. YMIN 3032 Camps & Missions Ct, 3 credit hours This course provides a comprehensive study of the principles and practices involved in organizing and leading camps and mission experiences. Students will examine and explain the spiritual, logistical, and relational aspects of these ministry contexts, analyze how camps and mission experiences can uniquely foster spiritual growth, community building, and discipleship among youth. Special emphasis will be placed on training students preparing to become youth leaders, equipping them to design and implement camp programs and mission initiatives that inspire active faith and service. Through scriptural study, personal research, and hands-on projects, students will develop strategic approaches to leading impactful experiences, empowering them to evaluate, plan, and execute youth-focused camps and missions experiences with confidence and vision.
