AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, will host the 2023 Spring Meeting and 9th Annual Independents’ Cup Charity Golf Tournament, April 24-23, 2023, at the Trump National Doral Resort in Doral, Florida. Registration is open. It will feature a three-day series of general sessions, workshops, plant tours, and networking and social events. SupplyOne & Schwarz Partners Packaging will host tours of their local facilities. The AICC Emerg- ing Leaders will also host an offsite evening event and a dedicated training during the meeting. The 9th Annual Independents’ Cup Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Doral golf club. Graham Pre-Qualifies For How2Recycle Graham Packaging, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has announced that its ThermaSet PET Technology has been pre-qualified for the How2Recycle Widely Re- cyclable label. ThermaSet is a patented heat-set process that al- lows PET to be used instead of glass in challenging hot-fill applications. ThermaSet PET bottles and jars have 50 percent more sidewall rigidity over stan- dard PET, and maintain thermal stability while pro- viding a two-year shelf life at ambient temperatures. The How2Recycle Widely Recyclable label des- ignates that at least 60 percent of Americans can recycle this package at curbside recycling or store drop-off recycling. The pre-qualification is for use in the United States and Canada only.
