Sports & Ortho Therapy. Hip, Leg, & Knee Pain

WHAT OUR PAT I ENTS ARE SAY I NG :

I had the great pleasure of having follow up therapy here after my total knee replacement surgery in 2018. Debbie Bahr, PT was my second therapist, and she made a world of difference to my healing. She is not only caring and has a truly pleasant personality, she works on your problem area and gets results. One of the best parts of the therapy sessions with her was her massages to my knee–she’s hands-on, and that’s how she gets to know what’s going on in your problem area. I enjoyed my sessions with her. The office staff is always friendly and helpful and the assistants also do a great job assisting clients.”- Susan F.

When we remodeled our facility, we endeavored to develop a clinic which is open and inviting. The color scheme and art work were included to encourage a safe-healing environment. Besides being beautiful it is extremely functional with 3200 square feet of clinical treatment area.

HAS YOUR PA I N COME BACK?

Working in her Silver Spring neighborhood now, Debbie Bahr is grateful to be closer to home rather than driving out of the county. She enjoys meeting up with previous patients who live around the corner or down the street from her home. Debbie finds relaxation in gardening and loves remembering patients and friends who have shared plant “gifts” from their own gardens. She is always ready to return the favor by sharing from her garden as well. Staying healthy, active, and full of joy has been Debbie’s goal in life, and she would like to help others achieve the same and live a long and pain free life. Debbie is very happy to be part of the SPORTS PT team now in her 43rd year practicing physical therapy. She has a special interest in myofascial release techniques, scoliosis, and postural issues, vestibular disorders and sacral/pelvic alignment dysfunctions. Through out her years of experience she has enjoyed learning new techniques adding to her skills offering the best care to her patients.

EXERC I SE ESSENT I AL S

HIP HIKES While standing up on a step, lower one leg downward towards the floor by tilting your pelvis to the side. Then return the pelvis/leg back to a leveled position. Many patients benefit from this exercise, and we hope it helpsyou, too! However, if it isnotmetwithagoodoutcome rapidly, please do not continue to perform the exercise. To get an individualized exercise program for your specific problem, it is best to see a SP.OR.T.S. physical therapist to perform an evaluation at which time a more focused approach will really make a difference.
