and friendly and good-humored, joking with us by body language, smiles and gestures. We wanted to take her home with us! The other ladies were also most gracious and charming and we had enjoyed the chance to be with all three of them in their home. Our ride back to Budapest became increasingly rainy (it had finally cleared a bit while we were in Holloko) and it was really a “toad strangler” by the time we reached the Hotel Taverna in Budapest. Everybody took time to repack, get cleaned up, and ready for our farewell drinks and briefing at 6 PM The briefing turned out to be a goodbye from Andrea, Elly and Erika. We drank our celebratory champagne and applauded at the appropriate times and now we must hope that the other travelers in our group will give these three worthy ladies who have made this trip so enjoyable and trouble-free those “excellent” ratings they deserve. Following the briefing, we went to eat supper at the Havana Grill which had been recommended by Andrea and is on Vaci Street not far from the Taverna. The food was good and it was great to sit outside under a blue sky in Budapest. We walked back to the hotel buying whole nut chocolate ice cream cones for dessert and it was perfect, apropos and delicious! Then it was to bed and to sleep fast since our wake up call to the airport was 4 AM Our flight to Frankfurt was to leave at 6:40 AM HOMEWARD BOUND A day filled with flying, but all flights were smooth and there were no hitches anywhere along the way. Everybody got home when they expected - safe and sound - after a “gemutlichkeit” trip on the Danube.
