6.5

Holidays Paid company holidays (including Floating Holidays) are available immediately upon hire and provided to regular full-time (non-hospital) employees only. COPC observes the company holidays listed here in addition to 2 Floating Holidays (discussed in the next section). Unless otherwise stated, if a company holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday and if the company holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. ● New Year’s Day ● Memorial Day

For the purpose of overtime calculations, holiday hours are not considered as hours worked and will not be counted towards the calculation of overtime. All COPC locations are to be closed on the designated company holiday unless another day that same workweek is designated and observed as the holiday closure.

● Labor Day ● Thanksgiving Day ● Christmas Day

● Juneteenth (June 19) ● Independence Day

6.5.1 Floating Holidays In addition to COPC’s paid company holidays, all full-time, regular exempt and non-exempt employees receive the equivalent of two (2) Floating Holidays at the beginning of each calendar year. While the purpose of Floating Holidays is to allow employees time away from work to observe religious and cultural events, Floating Holidays may be used for any personal purpose. Floating Holidays are a use-it or lose-it benefit. They will not be carried over to the next calendar

year, they cannot be cashed out or shared and will not be paid out upon termination of employment. In addition, they cannot be used in the last two weeks of a resignation notice period. For the purpose of overtime calculations, Floating Holiday hours are not considered as hours worked and will not be counted towards overtime. Employees can find more information in the Holiday Pay Policy .
