Checking In July

HANNAH MUNSON FITNESS/SPA

I would like to nominate this employee for MVP. In addition to her current role, this employee served as an Idea Fair lead for the past year for the Athletics Department (including Fitness, Spa, Youth, and Aquatics). It was her first year as an Idea Fair lead, and she went above and beyond to make the experience excellent for her team, and the Celebration of Innovation a rewarding event for all staff. In her role as an Idea Fair lead, she encouraged innovation and brainstormed potential submissions for the Idea Fair with staff in all of the departments under Athletics. She collected the ideas, turned them into submission forms and posters, and was always sure to meet or beat any deadlines for these tasks, which were all outside of her normal role. While these are great, the real reason this employee stands out as an MVP is because of her role in the Celebration of Innovation. All of the Idea Fair leads brainstorm ideas for this, but she went above

and beyond – collecting prizes from various departments, thinking of stellar activities to represent her team’s ideas (Concept Conditioning Challenge, Prize Wheel, etc.), finding staff to man the activities, and helping with set-up and breakdown, and always checking in to see if more could be done. She is the perfect example of the Club’s motto, and in particular, is a great representation of one of our CCV Values – Innovation. She inspired it not just in her team, but in all of the various departments under the Athletics umbrella, and made an impact on all of them, as well as all staff in attendance, and always has a positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative and make anything around her better. This employee is the perfect example of an MVP! We are so lucky to have her on the team.

KATHY HAYNES ACCOUNTING

I believe this employee should be considered for an MVP award. She has become a true “go to” when it comes to the third floor. I don’t know exactly what her job responsibilities are but it seems that she does it all. She is the queen when it comes to NorthStar questions. She helps get server numbers set up in NorthStar. When there are any random accounting questions she always seems to know the answer. I have to assume that there have been many times employees have gone to her for help and it wasn’t in an area of her responsibility. That being said I have never been in a scenario where this employee has pushed back or not helped. She is always kind in all of her interactions and that should be commended as well. I hope that the MVP committee will consider her for an MVP Award. She is one of the model employees at the Club that everyone should look to shape their behavior after.
