Checking In July

JENNIFER HAMLET SPECIAL EVENTS

In the short amount of time that this employee has been at the Club, she has exhibited many traits of the ideal team member. She is always smiling, upbeat, and hard working. Most importantly she is a team player. On Friday, April 7, Cool Springs was pretty busy during lunch and I went over to make sure everything was ok and the kitchen didn’t need any help. While I was there I saw this employee come in through the kitchen, remove her coat and go straight into the dining room. She was assisting the front of the house with bussing the dining room and restocking the salad bar. I never saw a call for help go out so I assume she just noticed it was busy and came over. Later that day around 4:00 pm I was in the Main kitchen and we were in the thick of prepping for Easter and this employee was in the kitchen helping out. I never even saw her come in, I don’t know what time she came up. I just turned around at one point and she was right next to a cook helping to roll crepes. When that was done she crossed to the other side of the table and hopped right in with the another cook she had been watching and helped with what they were doing. The banquet culinary staff was talking about it after she left as it isn’t very often they see someone from outside of culinary just show up and lend a hand without being asked to. She made an impression and earned a lot of respect from the staff that day.
