PROFESSOR MICHAEL PRYLES, SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE Michael is the Founder President of the Court of Arbitration at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and previously served as the Chairman of the SIAC Board of Directors fromMarch 2009 toMarch 2013. A well known international arbitrator with offices inMelbourne, Singapore and London, Michael has an active practice in Europe, Asia and North America and is consistently ranked as one of the leading international arbitrators. He has heard commercial cases under the rules of all leading arbitration centres as well as ad hoc arbitrations. In addition, he has sat as an arbitrator in investor-state disputes under the ICSID, NAFTA and UNCITRAL rules. Michael is currently a governing boardmember of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA). Formerly, he served as President of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA); member of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC); Member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Chairman of the International Chamber of Commercial (ICC) Australia. He also served as a Commissioner of the United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) and a Commissioner of the Australian LawReformCommission (ALRC). He held a named chair in lawat Monash University and was a partner in a leading Australian law firm. Michael has authored 10 books and numerous articles on international arbitration, private international law, international trade lawand citizenship law.

Based in Singapore, Eugene leads the firm’s South East Asia construction team. He has considerable experience in both contentious and non-contentious infrastructure, engineering and construction-relatedmatters. He represents clients in court and arbitrations, involving FIDIC, PSSCOC and SIA forms of contract, and also acts on broader disputes, including insurance claims, shareholder, distributorship agreement and trade related issues. Eugene has appeared as counsel in every level of the Singapore courts, from the state courts to the court of appeal. He also advises and represents clients in arbitrations under ICC, SIA, SIAC and ad hoc rules and in adjudications under the Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.
