MARKET BOULEVARD PROJECT

Market Boulevard is one of the main entry points into downtown Chanhassen. The latest data indicates the street experiences 13,000 vehicles per day (VPD). It’s classified as a Major Collector and is on the city’s Municipal State Aid (MSA) System. The street, sidewalk, and trails are due for pavement replacement, but other access and mobility improvements are also needed. The design kicked off in the spring of 2023, and construction is planned for 2025. The project is anticipated to cost approximately $7 million and will be funded by various sources, including MSA, Property Assessments, TIF, and City Pavement Management and Utility Enterprise funds. This corridor is critical to the city’s Downtown Vision and the proposed Civic Campus project. Be on the lookout for public engagement outreach events and scan the QR code to sign up for automatic project updates via email.
