Cooking with Friends: A filmed program produced in-house, in the teaching kitchens of Courses Restaurant in the Culinary Center Each episode will be designed to feature Indiana-grown foods and Indiana wines/craft beers Episodes featured on Visit Indy website, Ivy Tech Hospitality Administration page, and Cooking with Friends YouTube channel Ivy Tech chefs and alumnae chefs teach short, easy recipes and cooking techniques to Janet Arnold, co-chair of the Hospitality Advisory Board, and a roster of featured community leaders Recipes suggested by teaching faculty would be related in theme and/or ingredients to the community leader The community leader: would be paired with a culinary or pastry student assistant. This pairing would be strategic. As an example: a Lilly executive paired with a Type 1 diabetic, preparing a diabetic meal would also be able to mention how his/her industry is connected to the world of Hospitality Partnership Goals & ROI
Promote the faculty and students of Ivy Tech Culinary in order to grow Indy’s workforce in Hospitality/Culinary Attract new student enrollments, as well as returning students who had to drop out due to the pandemic Promote the dining experience of Courses Restaurant and advertise meals offered to the public Cultivate community leaders in learning first- hand about the teaching experience at Ivy Tech
Inspire students by contact with a community leader, and in turn, to inspire the community leader by the efforts of the student paired with them to pursue a career Feature sponsor prominently throughout the episode Highlight how sponsor impacts the hospitality industry Attract new donors and retain existing donors who give to Hospitality / Culinary programs and related scholarships at Ivy Tech Offer sponsors increased marketing exposure through the episodes where appropriate
