SEASON’S GREETINGS
A very warm welcome to the festive holidays at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan. This year’s theme, ‘Plant the Seeds for a New Beginning’ is rooted in the idea of renewal and growth, and Balinese symbols of transformation like rice and lotuses. It feels especially meaningful as I prepare for my first holiday season here at the resort and plant my own roots in Bali. Our celebrations also draw inspiration from Tri Hita Karana – the Balinese 'three paths to harmony' philosophy that unites people, environment and spirit. Its messages of purity and interconnectedness add another dimension to many of our on-site experiences: our farm-to-fork culinary program honouring Bali’s agricultural heritage with zero-mile ingredients and ancestral recipes; Rituals of Renewal at The Sacred River Spa that echo the life cycle of a seed; the opportunity to tie written hopes for the year ahead on our sustainably made Tree of Intentions, and a chance to spend 'A Day in the Life of a Balinese Farmer', planting rice, hands-on cooking, and a riverside lunch shared in the spirit of community and tradition.
Our team’s heartfelt dedication continues to inspire recognition, including the recent One Michelin Key by the Michelin Guide, a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide, and a place on the 50BestDiscovery list 2025. We’re delighted that you’ve chosen to celebrate with us. My team and I wish you a joyful stay and a bright, prosperous and transformational New Year ahead.
With heartfelt wishes, Tim Churchmack Resort Manager
