PROFESSIONAL AND LEGAL ISSUES MULTI-COURSE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM This program focuses on the core legal and risk management issues critical for engineers to master to successfully design and deploy products from a safety and reliability perspective. Courses address patent law, product liability, risk management, and expert witness testimony. In addition to the Continuing Education Units (CEUs) awarded, successful completion heightens your expertise within the field and earns you an SAE credential recognizing your achievement. The entire four-course program must be completed in five years. Learn how to add this valuable credential to your resume; visit sae.org/learn/professional-development and click on CERTIFICATIONS GENERAL MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE PROGRAM Designed to equip engineers and management professionals with key leadership skills, this certificate program focuses on four core management and leadership competencies: management capability, team leadership, project management, and finance . The courses do not have to be taken in any specified order but we recommend starting with Managing Engineering and Technical Professionals if it can be scheduled as your first course. The entire four-course program must be completed in a seven-year timespan. An SAE Certificate of Achievement is awarded with the designated number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) when you complete each course. When all four courses are completed, you earn the comprehensive certificate recognizing successful completion of the entire program.
