5 Tips to Impress Your Boss Remotely
person speaks volumes about your professional character. Avoid multitasking and dress professionally! Be sure to arrive on time, be prepared, and contribute to the meeting. Avoid Procrastination It’s tempting to get in a quick episode of your favorite TV show or to take a short nap instead of finishing an assignment when you’re working from home — especially when the couch is 15 feet away from you! However, if you want to get and stay ahead while working remotely, you’ll want to do your best work at home. Instead of procrastinating, buckle down and focus! Provide Updates While it’s not a great idea to flood your boss’s inbox with updates, providing quick notes to keep them in the loop on important projects, questions, or concerns is a good idea. Just remember to keep them brief.
Working from home isn’t just a fad — it’s here to stay for many companies and their employees. For those working from home, their bosses frequently reside in a different state entirely. This means putting your skill and efforts on display may be difficult. What are some of the best ways to impress your supervisor when working remotely? Maintain Responsiveness Every supervisor’s main concern with employees working from home is whether or not they are truly putting in their hours. Being responsive is the best way to show you are at the top of your game. This means having your phone on hand, checking your email frequently, and answering pings, texts, and chats. This shows you are reliable and not slacking off on the clock.
Practice Proactivity Proactivity is always better than reactivity. Supervisors look for team members who propose fresh ideas, go above and beyond, and nip problems in the bud before they arise. While working from home, be sure to think outside of the box to get ahead. With these tips, you’re sure to impress your boss and convince them that working from home is right for you!

I DON’T HAVE A CRICK IN MY NECK!
WHIPLASH MAY BE CAUSING THE PAIN
Other signs of whiplash include: •
“Ouch! My neck!” Some of us may have yelled this sentence out loud one day when we feel a crick in our necks. However, while some neck pain can be because of our sleeping or standing position, other times, it can be a sign of a major health condition — like whiplash. What is whiplash? While some may think whiplash occurs mainly after a car accident, it can happen because of a sudden blow to the head if you’re playing contact sports or accidentally fall. Whiplash is an injury due to a sudden and vigorous head movement in one direction. If your head is forced in one direction too quickly, it can affect your muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues in your neck, which can cause overstretching or straining. What are the symptoms? Immediately after straining your neck, you may not feel any pain. But that doesn’t mean you didn’t suffer any injuries! Typically, you begin to feel pain 6–12 hours after the injury. The first day, you may feel slightly uncomfortable. But in the hours or days following the incident, you may notice your pain increasing or swelling and bruising around the injured area. That’s why it’s recommended to visit your doctor immediately after an injury so testing can be done to see if there are any lasting effects.
