3.1 Property Tax Revenue: The value of property in the City of DeSoto has appreciated substantially in the past 10 years, more than doubling from $ 2,877,357,291 in 201 4 to $ 7,375,137,761 in 202 3 . Significantly, it increased by over 1 0 % in each of the last four years. However, with interest rates currently spik ing , future increases are likely to be much more modest.
