Operating Impact When capital funds are used to construct new facilities, parks, trails, and other amenities that will require increases in expenditures in future years for operation and maintenance, these operating costs are factored into the CIP Five-Year Plan. The table below lists active projects and their projected impact to operation, maintenance and staffing in future years.
The City of DeSoto CIP projects will include the construction of a new Aquatic & Recreation Center, which will require the cost of building maintenance and additional personnel. Street infrastructure improvement and maintenance include alley reconstruction and concrete asphalt repair on Pleasant Run Road, Danieldale Road, and Hampton Road. Water and Sewer CIP projects include an annual renovation/replacement program, Bolton Boone Elevation storage tank, Bolton Boone 20” Transmission Line, and Westmoreland Pump Station.
