General Fund Fund 101 *
At the beginning of Fiscal Year (FY) 202 4 , the City of DeSoto has a General Fund (GF) fund balance (FB) of $2 7,582,390 . The General Fund will end the FY 202 4 year with a projected FB of $2 8,176,264 , an in crease of 2.1 % over the year.
COOPERATIVE EFFORTS Southwest Regional Communications Center Fund Fund 111
The City of DeSoto partners with other Best Southwest Cities on initiatives that will significantly decrease expenses associated with operational costs. One of these joint ventures is the Southwest Regional Communications Center (SWRCC), which includes participation from the Cities of Cedar Hill and Duncanville. In FY 202 4 SWRCC will begin with a working capital balance of $ 339,087 and is projected to end with a working capital balance of $ 303,950 , which translates to a decrease of 10.4 % over the year. Partners assessments were not increased as much as expenses.
