' CONCLUSION
This book will have served its purpose if the reader has been made aware of the significant role Biola University has played in the funda- mental spectrum of the Church by training thousands of men and women to go "into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature . " \ \ From our research on this project it has become obvious that an ac- ademic institution, such as Biola, must use extreme caution in pursuing \ a \proper course, in both academic and theological circles. It has a moral responsibility to adhere to the purpose and intent of its founders in pro- claiming the totality of the Word of God. At the same time, it must em- brace new programs and techniques which will aid it in producing the best product possible; and, it must be on guard against those innovations and trends which may draw it away from its legitimate course. Therefore, we have sought to present Biola in proper perspective, with these problems in mind. The evaluation of its success in these areas must be done by the reader, on the basis of the information we have provided. We close this account with the hope that its readers will firid it helpful. We expect some readers will disagree with the foremat we have chosen to follow. Some will feel that much contained .herein should have been left unsaid; and , others will criticize the omission of some details. With both extremes in mind, the author has sought to strike a proper balance; and, he has sought to present a reasonable picture of Biola to the reader without the boredom of too much detail. It is our sincere hope that this work has presented Biola University properly as the great in- stitution that it really is, and that it will enhance the interest of its readers in the School.
