35 the faith is to quote, in part, the resolution of the Biola Board of Director which is as follows: --~-~ ----~-~·= -~IBEREAS, on February 27, 1932, it pleased our heavenly father to take unto himself our beloved brother in the faith, Rev. Thomas Corwin Horton; and WHEREAS, Mr. Horton, in conjunction with Mr. Lyman Stewart founded the Bible Institute of Los Angeles; and • • from the inceptior of the Bible Institute until the year 1925, Mr. Horton held the positior of Superintendent. , and was a member of the Board of Directors; and since that time has held the title of Superintendent Emeritus; and the Board of Directors have held in high honor and Christian love this noble saint of God for his uncompromising loyalty to Jesus Christ and · the Bible, for his devotion to the cause of Christ throughout the world and for his soul .-winning zeal. This ended the Stewart and Horton era in the history of Biola Universit~ but their work and influence live on. In the words of the Scripture, we add, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints," and, "I hearc: a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them."
