MISSION STATEMENTS

To recover and restore a variety of threatened marine species, while connecting people to ocean wildlife. We aim to promote green, sustainable living through education and outreach, both in person and online.

MISSION A

To conduct scientific research that advances our understand- ing of the biology and ecology of marine organisms, particu- larly threatened elasmobranch fishes.

MISSION B

To provide scientific data to stakeholders that promote con- servation initiatives and improve the management and pro- tection of imperiled marine species.

MISSION C

To provide creative educational opportunities in marine sci- ence to the public, including experiential and instructional programs to the international community, with special atten- tion to minority groups, youth, service members, and veter- ans and their families.

MISSION D

To educate the public on the benefits of green living through reusable alternatives, environmentally friendly and ma- rine-safe choices, waste reduction, resource utilization, and healthy living.

MISSION E

To foster community engagement in marine conservation through outreach, education, instructional programs, and interactive opportunities to spread knowledge and promote well-informed decisions and actions.
