Your website states that you build submersibles for discerning individuals and de - manding professionals. What makes these target groups unique? We use the term ‘discerning individuals and demanding professionals’ because our clients recognize the importance of exploring the ocean in the safest, most innovative vehicles and tools on the planet. People who buy and use Triton are passionate about the ocean, and our products provide them with the tools they need to make and document new discoveries, un- derstand the future of the ocean, and visit a part of our world we may never have seen before in complete comfort and safety.
What are the core values of your company?
Simplicity of operation, reliability, ease of maintenance, and safety are the cornerstones of every product Triton delivers. In addition, we strive to create products, which are unique, in- novative, beautiful and a tribute to their owners. Do these private subs need professional pilots, or are they sufficiently easy for the yacht owners to pilot them solo? Is this why yacht owners favor Triton? All Triton submersibles are designed to be simple to operate, easy to maintain, safe and re- liable. With the purchase of any Triton submersible, a comprehensive training program is in- cluded. However, the actual operation of a submersible is really straightforward and intuitive, and just about anyone with reasonable aptitude can quickly become accomplished at piloting a Triton. Most of our training is focused on teaching candidates how the craft is operated and maintained so their understanding is enhanced, and they learn what to do if something breaks and needs to be repaired or replaced and what to do if there is problem. In fact, with just a few minutes of instruction most people can enjoy driving a Triton. One of the attractive features of owning and operating a Triton is the simplicity of using the craft and the lack of complexity associated with maintenance. Unlike more complicated items on a yacht such as a helicopter, there is really nothing about a Triton, that a typical crew member on a yacht would find intimidating. The yacht itself is far more complex and if the crew can manage to look after the systems on the yacht, they will be entirely comfortable with every system in a submersible, once they have completed the training program Triton provides as standard with every purchase.
