Welcome to the 2023 Red Hot Gala, we thank you for joining us this evening to celebrate Cooper! We want to thank you for your loyal and generous support of Cooper University Health Care, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, and The Cooper Foundation. Your continued support allows us to further distinguish ourselves as a leading academic health system in the region. As Cooper rounds off its 136th year, we look to the future with an unprecedented $2 billion Camden campus expansion that will transform Cooper and the community. We are also focused on bringing Cooper’s trademark clinical innovation and expertise to more communities in South Jersey and beyond, including a new hi-tech ambulatory complex opening soon in Moorestown and an historic merger with Cape Regional Health System. The generous support of individuals who come to the Gala and support the Foundation, including our longtime friends the Brown and Koons Families, has helped propel Cooper to be the leading academic health system in the region and will help build its future. We have much to celebrate tonight. In addition to our various expansion projects, Cooper continues to deliver the highest level of quality and service. For the third consecutive year, Cooper was named as a Top In-State Employer by Forbes. This year, Cooper University Health Care was recognized by U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-2024 Best Hospitals annual survey as one of the top 10 hospitals in New Jersey and as a high-performing hospital nationally in 11 specialty services. Your willingness to partner with and generously support Cooper helps us fulfill our mission to serve, to heal, and to educate the people of this region. We thank you and hope you enjoy tonight.
