Youth Programs

We continue to hold steadfast with our plans to increase awareness of the dangers associated with impaired driving, and underage drinking. New England and across the country has seen a significant increase in the number of drivers/pedestrians killed due to someone making a wrong decision to drive impaired. MADD’s efforts to combat impaired driving, through advocacy, education, and innovative programming, successfully lowered the number of individuals killed from 25,000+ in 1980, when Mothers Against Drunk Driving was organized, to approximately 10,000, which held for a decade, but now the numbers are increasing year to year since the pandemic to an alarming 13,000+ in 2022. One life loss is One too many. Thank you so much for supporting our mission and helping us Save Lives!

EMMA’S HALF MARATHON FOR SAM Sam Needham of Barnstable, Massachusetts, was a sweet son and brother, a dedicated friend, and a keen and patient fisherman who lived his life freely on the coast of Cape Cod, rarely seen with shoes on. On August 16, 2022, Sam was doing what he loved most, maybe second to fishing: riding his motorcycle, when a drunk driver ended Sam’s life after 18 short years. Join Emma, Sam's sister, in running for Sam and towards a goal of No More Victims of impaired driving on April 6th, 2024 in Gloucester, MA. https://www.yukanrun.com/fools-dual-half-marathon-5k

Community donations are a key to success and raising funds for MADD New England as is event promotion for the businesses. We offer pre-event benefits to let our participants and constituents know of the generosity that we receive including social media posts, website recognition and event day signage. Our events raise the funds necessary to provide educational awareness programs to youth and their parents, provide advocacy programs at no cost to victims of alcohol-related crashes and their families, and to continue educating the community about the dangers of drinking and driving and underage drinking.

Interested in a sponsorship? Whether donating time, funding, or other resources, we are grateful for the generosity shown to us over the years. If you’d like to learn more about these opportunities, please reach out to your local office for more information.
