How do I save?

What happens if I leave the company? As the benefit is provided over a contracted period, if you choose to stop the benefit early, your employer may choose to recoup the contributions to the nursery from your salary.

As a result of your employer working in partnership with your nursery you can save Tax and NI on the whole of your monthly nursery fees. Your nursery benefits too as they get a contribution from your employer to use for equipment, training, redecoration or anything else they need, which is covered by the NI payments your employer saves — so everybody wins! If you’re signed up for Childcare Vouchers you’ll save even more, as you can also use them towards your fees with Workplace Nursery. With Workplace Nursery, if your nursery fees were £900 per month you could save 32 % or 42 % giving you a total saving of up to £4536 a year (compared with just £933 with vouchers). The other advantages are that: • The monthly fees are paid in total so you don’t have to remember to pay a “top up” to the a nursery as you would with vouchers • The nursery receive monies due on the 1st of the month with one referenced payment – so it’s easier for them too.
