A little more about us ...

USAC is a nonprofit with a more than 40-year history of collaborating with U.S. universities to send students abroad. Through our work, students from any university are encouraged to participate in our 50+ academic programs in 25+ countries. More than 65,000 students have studied abroad with us, building cross-cultural skills and fearlessly exploring not only who they are, but their place in a global society. We provide the structure and support for your immersion in international program locations, so you can experience the soul of your host country.

USAC is also a steadfast ally for students of all backgrounds to study abroad. Regardless of ethnicity and race, LGBTQI+ identity, religion, disability, or first- generation and socioeconomic status, USAC advisors and resident directors actively support students before and throughout their integration into new communities. Celebrating diversity — locally and globally — is the underpinning of USAC’s goal of encouraging intercultural competence.

An immersive and affordable experience with a community feel

Still, with easily accessible transportation and field trips, you won’t miss out on afternoons or long weekends in the higher-cost-of-living cities (think Paris, Jerusalem, Rome, Bangkok, or Barcelona). But regardless of your program structure, you’ll earn a quality education, make new friends, and gain the critical social tools that will turn you into a global citizen. In a world full of challenges, you can be a force for good.
