Adam Guinn Adam Guinn is a Lead Engineer who has worked for Duke Energy for 17 years where he currently works in the Transmission Operations and Planning Strategy group. Adam joined Progress Energy as a System operator in 2004 where he worked as a TOP and BA System Operator, obtaining his NERC Certification at the RC level. During his time at Duke Energy he served as a System Operator for 4 years, an analyst and application developer in the Energy Management System (EMS) area for 6 years, a System Operations Engineer for 6 years, and have been working in Transmission Operations and Planning Strategy group for almost a year. Adam obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Computer Engineering from NC State University in 2003. Adam later obtained a MS in Electric Power Systems Engineering and a Renewable Electric Energy Systems Graduate certificate from NC State University in 2015. He became a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina in 2004.
Brian Haggard Brian is the Manager of Operations Training for Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC). Brian has been with Georgia System Operations Corp. (GSOC) for 16 years prior to that he spent 6 years in the metering and SCADA field. In his 16 year career at GSOC Brian has held the positions of Operations Support Engineer, Floor Engineer, and Operations Trainer. Brian has a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee. He is NERC certified with a RC credential and has served on the System Operator Working Group for 14 years and currently is the chair of the Working Group.
