Staying motivated and organised in a busy world

Charlotte Holdsworth ACIPP, IPP Education project executive, shares a variety of tips on how you can stay both motivated and organised when spinning many plates

T ime management encompasses various strategies and techniques to make the most of time available to you. This can include: l setting specific goals l prioritising tasks l breaking activities down into smaller chunks l scheduling time for different activities l minimising distractions l regularly reviewing and adjusting your plans. It’s about being intentional and proactive in how you allocate and use your time to achieve your objectives efficiently and effectively. I have found that it’s not just about scheduling tasks but also understanding priorities, setting realistic goals, minimising distractions and optimising workflows. Time management is an essential skill which can be developed through practice and self-awareness. Strategies for staying motivated Staying motivated can be challenging, but has a positive effect on productivity, performance, confidence and

development. There are several strategies you can try:

Set clear goals Define specific, achievable goals which inspire you and give you a clear sense of direction.

Break tasks into smaller steps Breaking tasks down into smaller, more manageable steps can make them feel less overwhelming and easier to tackle.

Find inspiration Surround yourself with people, books or quotes that inspire and motivate you.
