Number of employees paid When gathering payroll data for comparison, one of the fundamental questions will always be, how many employees are paid on your payroll? While that may be a very straight forward answer for those respondents that have an in-house payroll department, it raises the question of how respondents from an outsourced environment have answered, with only being able to select one option. Although we consistently see the most common range is between 51 – 1,000 employees, the biggest change this year was a 4.19% increase in the over 10,000 employees category.
