A s indicated in the July issue of BIFAlink , BIFA is strengthening the team of regional representatives who support and engage with Members across the UK, and who are the trade association’s ‘eyes and ears’ at a local level in each of its regions. This has led to the recent appointment of Andrew Melton as regional representative covering the Midlands and North Region. Andrew has almost 50 years of experience of the freight and logistics industry across all modes. He joins BIFA from Ligentia UK Ltd where he was UK compliance manager. No stranger to the work of the trade association, Andrew served as a non-executive director for 14 years, as well as being its chair from 2009 to 2011. He has been an active participant in BIFA’s Customs, Surface, and Legal and Insurance policy groups, and various ad hoc working groups.
