Training

An ideal course to gain a wider understanding

The course is well constructed and fl owed very well

of Customs procedures

BTEC Intermediate Award in Import & Export Customs Procedures

Team member: Nezda Leigh Nezda does not deliver training but if anyone has started a BTEC course since June 2020, they would have met her. Nezda facilitates all the BTEC assessments via Zoom once the delegates have completed their four days of training. She does a great job organising all the assessments, putting delegates at ease and making what could be – for some – a nerve- racking time, as pleasant as possible. She has helped considerably in implementing our modern online assessment portal and is always looking at ways we can improve. Unlike the others in the training team, Nezda has no experience in the industry, but has completed a couple of our Essentials courses and now has a good understanding of the industry’s requirements.

Our most popular course, which was originally developed by BIFA with input from HM Customs (now HMRC), this BTEC-accredited course has evolved to cover all the main Customs procedures of today. The course content is designed for those that have some experience within the industry and is delivered over four tutor-led training days, where delegates will gain an understanding of Customs terminology through group work, work-based assignments and specific projects to complete. We

ensure that the delegates are involved throughout and inter- action between all leads to an enjoyable, educational experience. The course concludes with a 90- minute formal open-book assessment and is ideal for those keen to gain a formal BTEC qualification. The duration of the course is between four to

eight weeks. Early booking is advised. Scan the QR code for more information.
