Bible has been translated, is tremen dous! Are there scribes of the King of Kings who will sit down and take the time to transcribe His truth into these languages so that others may hear and believe? We perhaps get a false impres sion, listening to some people talk, as though the whole world has al ready been evangelized. Yes, mis sionaries have gone all over the globe, but there are well over 2,000 languages today where no one has ever gone. These poor unfortunate people have been bypassed. Think of it 2,000 years and over 2,000 lan guages still have not one single syl lable of the Word of God. No one has even reduced these languages to writing, let alone take the time to translate God’s Word into them. The task after that is to teach the people to read these languages in order that they can understand the truth for themselves. In this way they in turn can become messengers to their own people. All of these people, no mat ter where they are have a right to hear. Our King meant the message for them, too. They now stand under that first edict of death. Who will go and give them our Sovereign’s message they can understand? In the Wycliffe Bible Translators, were asking God for six to eight thousand more yonng men and wo men who will be King’s scribes and King’s messengers. It’s our respon sibility to give the Gospel in the form we ourselves have received it, that is, their own mother tongue. Do we appreciate what it means to have the Bible in English? We can sit down and read it with ease in understanding. There are multi plied versions today. Yet there are many areas that have absolutely nothing. There is one tribe in South Amer ica which for the first time has re ceived their New Testament. The worker responsible for giving it to
