London Board Meeting The London Board continues to meet regularly at the FMB head office in Farringdon to discuss key issues affecting London’s Master Builders. ULEZ, the congestion charge and parking prices are having a detrimental effect on builders’ ability to access their places of work in the capital. The board has met with Transport for London (TfL) and is working on a solution. Additionally, the construction industry needs at least 225,000 additional workers by 2027 to meet demand, so the Board has been advising CITB on how it could use the levy in more dynamic ways to alleviate the skills crisis. If you’re wondering how the Building Safety Act will affect your business, the best place to find the answer is on the FMB webinar page. The London Board has been working with insurers to determine whether members can get suitable insurance cover, given regulatory changes affecting SME businesses.
