Our Firm’s 1-Year Anniversary Celebrating Gratitude, Friendships, and Family

In September, Jeremy and I celebrated the one-year anniversary of The Injury and Disability Law Center. This month, we will celebrate the anniversary of the firm’s move into our current building. This past year has been a whirlwind of industriousness. As the holidays approach, and we look back on the past year, we realize we have been incredibly blessed. That is why, we want to focus on what is really important this season: gratitude. For one thing, we are truly grateful for the building that houses this business. When we were designing it, we wanted our office to exude the hope we want to impart to clients when they come to us for help. Inside the building, you’ll find our hardworking and friendly team made up of Maricela, Isabel, Kathy, and Becky. Jeremy and I credit the success of our firm to the dedication of these women. Our office dynamic is different than ones you might find at other firms due to the close friendships we’ve forged through years of working together. In fact, we all refer to our team as our “work family.”We work well together in the office, but we care about one another’s lives outside of work as well. We know when someone’s child is sick, and we know when someone is celebrating a birthday or anniversary. We can share the good times and the not-so-great ones. “As the holidays approach, and we look back on the past year, we realize we have been incredibly blessed.”

our clients. When we all work together for the betterment of the client, we see great results. In addition to our work family, we are thankful for the professional relationships we have with the doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other attorneys that trust our firm enough to send clients our way. Our clients are high on the list of aspects we are thankful for. During these holiday months in particular, Jeremy and I are constantly thinking about the people who put their faith in us to help them recover from whatever issue they are facing. We understand that the societal expectation around the holidays is that people need to be thankful, but when you are suffering from a serious injury, you might not feel like you have a lot to celebrate — and that is understandable. But we try to encourage clients who are struggling by

having them imagine a day down the line when they will have a lot to be thankful for and then assiduously work to help them reach it. Lastly and most importantly, Jeremy and I are grateful for the continued love and support from our families. Events this year have served as a personal reminder of the importance of time spent with loved ones. My father-in-law passed away after a five-year battle with cancer, and while we miss him every day, his passing helps us remember to be thankful for the family we have and the memories we make together.
