I will always support the Divine Nine. We are better together. Yet, while we’re on service, as that is your theme, what I like most about the Kappas is your ‘Room 2 Read’ program. I like that because literacy and the ability to read makes a difference and can help you get further. Madam President Danette Anthony Reed, International President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was one of those leaders that decided to change her schedule around to personally come visit her sorors and join the brothers of the GAC upon Grand Polemarch Jimmy McMikle’s invitation. Reed’s call to support and service is what ultimately drew her to support and is one of the things she most likes about the Nupes. “I knew it was important to come,” said Reed. “We have chapters all over the world and it’s a need to check on them as well and celebrate service with you.

It was also an excellent opportunity for us to highlight the tremen- dous contributions their members are providing our great nation. Divine Nine.” The D9 National Presi- dents were able to not only celebrate the 60th Anniver- sary of the GAC’s charter, but it was important for them to discuss what altru- istic measures and service their personal chapter was providing to the local com- munity at large overseas. Many had never been here before, and were greatly astonished by the level of service their organizations provided alongside the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi
