Spotlight: DAVID PUGLIESE, Senior Technical Support Engineer

BACKGROUND A native of East Harlem, NY, Pugliese has lived in north- east Philadelphia for over 25 years. Before joining the IHQ team, Pugliese worked for nu- merous organizations across different industries in various roles, including technician, network engineer, systems engineer, infrastructure engineer, IT manager, IT oper- ations manager, and director of IT for emergency services. His most recent position was IT Director at Cornwells Fire Company. Additionally, he runs a consulting business assisting organizations in achieving their technology goals. “As the Director of IT Opera- tions for emergency services and non-profit organizations, I am dedicated to leveraging technology to support and enhance critical missions that make a difference in our communities,” said Pug- liese. “With over 16 years of experience in IT and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by these

In February 2024, Interna- tional Headquarters (IHQ) secured the most needed and critical staff position by hiring David Pugliese. Accord- ing to Pugliese. “A technical recruiter reached out to me regarding my previous expe- rience at managed service providers (MSPs) and thought that my wide range of skills would benefit the Fraternity.” Pugliese, who is not a mem- ber of Kappa Alpha Psi, reports to IHQ Deputy Executive Direc- tor Daren Brantley (Eta Epsilon 1984). Pugliese’s primary role is to support the Fraternity’s IT systems and infrastructure which is vital to help Kappa Alpha Psi meet its business goals. Pugliese’s position en- sures that all computers and networks operate efficiently and that all software is cur- rent. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will also handle incoming technical support questions from fraternity members and take on any spe- cial assignments and projects delegated by the Executive Director or his designee.
