Achievement in Leadership and Operational Efficiency

A Leadership and operational efficiency are cornerstones of success in any organiza- tion. Members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., exemplify these traits through their commitment to service, innovation, and excellence. Three leaders—Grand Keeper of Records Kevin Kyles, the president of Grambling State University, and the president of Holyoke Community College—serve as paragons of these qualities. Their contributions reflect the fraternity’s achievement ethos and align with the 35th Administra- tion’s theme: Informed, Involved, Invested. At the 86th Grand Chapter Meeting, 24th Northern Province Polemarch Kevin Kyles was elected as the first Grand Keeper of Records since 1922. He has redefined operational efficiency for Kappa Alpha Psi®. Tasked with managing records and ensuring organi- zational continuity, Kyles has brought a modern approach to governance, integrating technology to streamline processes and enhance transparency. His leadership underscores the importance of maintaining a strong infrastructure to support the fraterni- ty’s ambitious goals. Kyles’s role is not just about record-keeping; it is about preserving the legacy of Kappa Alpha

Psi while paving the way for future generations. The presidents of Grambling State University and Holyoke Community College further illustrate achievement in leadership. At Grambling, Dr. Martin Lemelle (Gamma Psi 2004), the president has championed academic excellence and innovation, securing resources and creating opportuni- ties for students that align with the fraternity’s values of scholarship and service. Similarly, Dr. George Timmons (Epsilon Zeta 1990), the president of Holyoke Community College, has worked to bridge educational gaps, fostering an inclusive environment that reflects Kappa Alpha Psi’s commitment to equity and empowerment. The 35th Administration’s theme, Informed, Involved, Invested , has galvanized undergraduates and alumni to exemplify achievement in their community service efforts. By

being informed, members understand the needs of their communities; by being involved, they engage directly in impactful initiatives; and by being invested, they commit resources and time to creating sustainable change. Through the leadership of individu- als like GKOR Kyles and the visionary presidents of these institutions, Kappa Alpha Psi demonstrates that oper- ational efficiency and effective leadership are integral to achievement. These leaders not only inspire their fraternity brothers but also serve as role models for a broader commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
