RUTHERFORD, NJ — Newmark announced that Steven Beyda has joined as

He previously held senior roles at CBRE and began his career at JLL. Some of his notable assignments include Duke’s 1.1 million s/f Legacy Commerce Center redevelopment in Linden, Pro- logis’s 800,000 s/f acquisition of V. Paulius’s Carteret portfolio, and Bridge Development’s 3.9 million s/f Bridgepoint78 rede- velopment in Phillipsburg. On the investment side, he has led several notable transactions, such as the acquisition of the 1.1 million s/f Target Distribu- tion Center at Logan North and the acquisition and dis- position of 130 acres as a fully entitled, 352,000 s/f property to Restaurant Depot. “Joining a company of this caliber—and combining forces with colleagues I’ve long re- spected—was a natural next step,” said Beyda. “My experi- ence on both sides of the table brings a unique lens to grow- ing the agency business, and I look forward to building on the group’s momentum.” MAREJ During his tenure at The Birch Group, the firm achieved a record-setting year in 2021, securing nearly 200,000 s/f of new office leases and receiving the first-ever Sustainability Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Northern NJ. The award reflected his leadership in enhancing environmental performance, implementing energy-saving strategies, and introducing sustainable best practices across the firm’s managed portfolio. Earlier in his career, Ly- beratos served as director of operations at Onyx Equities, LLC, and as senior director of Property Management at Mack-Cali Realty Corporation. He also held senior operational roles at a regional property management firm overseeing more than 13 million s/f. A committed industry leader, Lyberatos currently chairs the Membership Com- mittee for BOMA NNJ and is an active member of NAIOP New Jersey. MAREJ
YONS, NJ — Dem- onstrating a profound spirit of service and civ- ic leadership, Linda Julien and Lilla Vinci of Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey (RRNNJ) recently participated in Community Hope’s 24th Annual 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk at the Ly- ons Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. Their involvement offered a meaningful way to honor the nation’s veterans and their families. The event, held on the scenic grounds of the Lyons VA, wel- comed walkers and runners from across the community, all gathering to recognize and express gratitude to those who have served and are currently serving in the nation’s armed forces. For Julien, RRNNJ’s office manager, the walk held personal significance, adding a deeply moving dimension to the team’s participation. “We’re a military family, so supporting our veterans is close to my heart,” she said. Her late father-in-law, Mi- chael W. Nieberding, served two tours in Vietnam as an Army Ranger, Long Range

Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP) special forces unit and ended his service with a rank of Lt. Colonel. He was deployed for his second tour to help repel the 1968 Tet Offensive. In addition, her sons Erich and Matthew have followed in his footsteps. After attending the United States Naval Acad- emy, Erich was commissioned as a Marine Corps fighter pilot and later earned a second set of wings as a drone pilot. He finished his service with a rank of Captain. Matthew, who was also commissioned as a pilot upon graduation from
the University of Pittsburgh Army ROTC program, is cur- rently a Captain serving in support of the Pennsylvania National Guard Air Cavalry, following a recent deployment in the Middle East. Joined by her husband Tom and her colleague Vinci, Julien shared that walking in the Community Hope’s annual fun- draiser on the VA campus and seeing residents waving flags while cheering on participants was a moving reminder of why events like this matter. “It was truly a privilege to walk for them,” she said. NAIOP New Jersey supports Community Food Bank of New Jersey with $5K Donation

HILLSIDE, NJ — NAIOP New Jersey reintroduced their Community Action Food Drive & Volunteer Day, part- nering with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) in Hillside for a memorable day of generosity and impact. The volunteer event, which was last held in 2019, brought together NAIOP staff, members and colleagues in the fight against hunger. According to CFBNJ, volun- teers at NAIOP’s morning and afternoon shifts combined for over 200 hours worked. In the morning, volunteers prepared 690 grilled chicken meal kits and breakfast meal kits, as well as packed 525 boxes for seniors. In the afternoon, 1,000 fish meal kits were pre - pared and 1,516 bags of pasta were packed, with 160 repack cases, as well. The work of NAIOP and its volunteers supported an average of over 24,000 meals throughout the course of the day. “We were so thrilled to be back volunteering with CFB- NJ, and we thank them for
