Final thought: “Thinking that suggestions for technology need to come from someone with the words ‘assistive technology’ in his or her job title is like thinking that only jockeys can ride horses and only race-car drivers can operate automobiles” (Bugaj, 2018, p. 147). Overall the emphasis on empowering the SLP is helpful to support AAC use and access in school sites.
