Newsletter FALL 2019

The Times Are Changing

In August, we crowned a winner of the Take a Hike Summer Giveaway: Congratulations to Jeff Rosenfeld! Have fun using your backpack full of hiking essentials. And for the rest of you who weren’t winners this time around, keep your eyes peeled for when we announce the next giveaway. On Sept. 27, we hosted our ninth annual Dentistry From The Heart event. It was a successful year, with over 70 patients treated and over $25,000 worth of free dental work provided to those in need. It was so wonderful to see the entire team at Sierra Crest volunteering their time to help our community. It’s always our favorite day of the year in the office because it’s our chance to give back to a community that has been so supportive of us. We realize that some people wait all year for this event so they can get dental work they’d otherwise be unable to have for a variety of reasons, and we’re humbled to be able to help. It’s a treat to see all those smiling faces come in and exciting to see even bigger smiles walk out. We’re so thankful to all our patients for sticking with us through the big transition we face with Dr. Colpitts’ exit from the practice. Because this is the last newsletter that will be going out before he leaves the practice he worked so hard to build and maintain all these years, I want to use this opportunity to share my appreciation for him and the professional mentorship he has given me. Those of us who have been privileged to be patients or staff of Dr. Colpitts over the years know what a truly remarkable dentist and person he is. His gentle touch, excellent dentistry, and caring personality have affected us all, and it is an honor to have the opportunity to take over his practice. Though he will be deeply missed, we all wish Dr. Colpitts an endless supply of perfect days skiing, biking, and enjoying this beautiful place we are all lucky enough to call home — he has truly earned them. –Dr. Delaney

It’s been a busy summer for Sierra Crest Dental! From our team-building day at the Tahoe Vista Treetop Adventure course to volunteering at the 24th Annual Truckee River Day, it’s been nonstop fun. As fall approaches, we are keenly aware that Dr. Colpitts is rapidly approaching his departure from the practice. As we get closer to that moment, it becomes a little more difficult to say our goodbyes. I’m thrilled to be so busy helping our wonderful patients and staff, and we’re all eager to continue providing excellent quality of care. | page 1
