Cutting-edge testing facilities with the newest technology and equipment for athletes of different sports competing at the highest international level are available at Vuokatti Sport Test Centre, including one of the few rollerskiing treadmills in the world to test athletes participating in cross-country skiing, Nordic combined and biathlon. With films and TV series having been actively produced in Kainuu over the past two decades, Sotkamo-based Kajawood, a film production company, also known as the “Finnish Hollywood”, is currently building Kajawood Studios, the first-ever ecological film studio village in Sotkamo- Vuokatti, supported by the Mayor of Sotkamo and the Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs. To increase the appeal and competitiveness of Sotkamo, Snowpolis Technology Park, a European Regional Development Fund co-financed project, aims to establish the basic infrastructure and operations for an international technology park by bringing together companies specialised in three fields: wellness and sports technology, nutrition technology and technologies related to snow and winter conditions. Sotkamo also has the goal of becoming one of the most significant movie production centres in Northern Europe. With films and TV series having been actively produced in Kainuu over the past two decades, Sotkamo-based Kajawood, a film production company, also known as the “Finnish Hollywood”, is currently building Kajawood Studios, the first-ever ecological film studio village in Sotkamo-Vuokatti, supported by the Mayor of Sotkamo and the Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs. التكنولوجيـا الدولـي مـن خـلال الجمـع بيـن الشـركات المتخصصـة فــي ثلاثــة مجــالات: تكنولوجيــا العافيــة والرياضــة وتكنولوجيــا التغذيــة والتقنيــات المتعلقــة بالثلــج والشــتاء. تسعى سوتكامو أيضاً إلى احتلال موقع متقدم بين مراكز الإنتاج السـينمائي شـمال أوروبـا. وفـي ضـوء إنتـاج الأفلام والمسلسـلات التلفزيونيــة بنشــاط فــي كاينــو علــى مــدى العقديــن الماضييــن، شـرعت كايـاوود ومقرهـا سـوتكامو، وهـي شـركة إنتـاج سـينمائي، ، حاليــاً ببنــاء كايــاوود “ هوليــوود الفنلنديــة ” تُعــرف أيضــاً باســم ستوديوز، أول قرية سينمائية بيئية على الإطلاق في سوتكامو- فوكاتـي، بدعـم مـن عمـدة سـوتكامو ووزيـر الشـؤون الاقتصاديـة ، 2023 الفنلندي. وستكون الاستديوهات، التي يزمع افتتاحها في مـن أكثـر الاسـتوديوهات حداثـة وأمانـاً فـي العالـم بفضـل حلولهـا المبتكرة وأحدث التقنيات التي تخدم الإنتاج السينمائي الدولي.
